Every single Sunday, without fail, the Bakersfield Burrito Project serves the community fresh, hot burritos, and snack items and a bottle of water. Anyone is welcome. We ask no questions, require nothing, and ask nothing in return. We do not ask for prayers, no song or dance; the only requirement is someone is hungry.
These are a few of the faces we’ve encountered during our deliveries of burritos through the years.
We don’t discriminate. Anyone who is hungry, we’ll give a burrito. Even some of the worst folks in the galaxy we’ve been known to feed and give a bottle of water.
Not only do we serve the hungry and homeless, we also help other community groups in Bakersfield.
Many Girl Scouts, and Girl Scout Troops have volunteered numerous work hours and collected donations to help the Bakersfield Burrito Project.
Many high school seniors volunteer with the Bakersfield Burrito Project in order to get their community service hours.
Plus, father – daughter teams have come into volunteer. The Bakersfield Burrito Project is a family affair!
